The smaller, ever-expanding, ‘Wildlife Series’, are available as cards and prints, through my Etsy shop. The originals, painted on watercolour paper, are created in a similar way to the larger ‘Beech Shadows’. The collage (vintage French newspaper) is layered with gesso to enhance texture. Watercolour and pastel are widely used in these paintings. A strong focus is placed on the eyes of the birds and mammals, the focus softening to other areas of the piece.
